The dental exam

Most of the dental problems that I see are missed from not looking rather than not knowing what they are looking at. A good dental exam starts with a brief history of the horse and a physical exam. Following this a head and oral exam are performed. A dental gag, bright light, mirror and water source to thoroughly rinse the mouth out are required.
